Yus! Another great photogroffee. As usual we got asked about our super duper photo “club” and I did my best to demystify it (“we are just hanging out”) but interest remained. Some folks at the cafe did their best to link us to the Grid Project, which we have nothing to do with, but if we all had the time I am sure we would be involved and more interested. Sadly time is at a premium for all of us so we get to do this kind of photo taking a few times a year – except for in the last few months where we’ve really turned up the knob on the photo excursions. This saturday we are planning a day trip to Saltspring Island with the sole purpose of taking photos. more on the way.. these are busy times indeed!
In the cue:
Carson and Brandy Wedding Photos – shot on NYE
Short Fuse Photo Shoot – shot this Sunday past
Crikey, time to get a new hard drive or two! Any recommendations are more than welcome.

  1. Awesome! Really like the portraits. That lens has really amazing DoF – crystal clear subjects. Had a great time and definitely want more spiral cafe goodness. I’ll have to see what the cards hold for saltspring.

  2. Awesome photos. I’ll need to post mine as well before our trip on Saturday.
HDs, I’d recommend an external one. Costco has some great deals with 500GB myBooks for $150 and 1 Terrabytes for $300. I find them very handy for sharing data across computers (ie large amounts of data I dont want to constantly transfer over a network) and for taking to friends places and stuff.

  3. =) is technically right but he forgets that I’m a DJ and we have our own slang, cue being amongst a number of other corkin’ and stonkin’ words we drop on a regular basis. Answers.com says:
“To insert into the sequence of a performance: cued the lights for the monologue scene.”
If you consider post processing to be an art, then why not consider it a performance art? Of course, a performance would have to be for someone.. Hmmm.. I wonder.
